Decorative Concrete of Virginia recently created a patio designed to resemble natural wood planks. The project shows how stamped concrete, color, antiquing treatment, and sealer can be combined to create a custom outdoor surface.
The crew placed and finished the concrete before using wood-plank stamp mats to add the plank lines and grain texture. Smaller stamps helped complete the pattern around the edges and detailed areas. After the concrete cured, the surface was cleaned, treated with antiquing color, and sealed to enhance the finished appearance.
Wood-look stamped concrete gives homeowners a way to add texture and character to a patio without using a plain concrete finish. The pattern, colors, and layout can be customized to complement the home and surrounding landscape. Every project is different, so the installation process and materials may vary depending on the property and design.
