Almost any concrete slab can be polished, but it isn’t always the right choice if the concrete has major flaws such as patchwork, spalls, or other irregularities. In those situations, a polished concrete overlay can provide the look of new polished concrete slab that would otherwise be too unsightly to be used as a finished floor.
We use many different suppliers for a polished concrete overlay, but our favorite materials are Increte Systems Level Top, Ardex PC-T, and Rapidset TRU PC.

Who We Are
OUR STORY
In 2001, a family vacation changed everything. While away, our dad—then a successful home builder—spotted a crew installing a decorative concrete overlay. Intrigued, he walked over, asked questions, and even jotted down the name from the bag of materials they were using. A few weeks later, we were on a plane to Florida for hands-on training.
What began as a side project soon became a passion. Our eye for quality and craftsmanship, paired with our growing expertise, transformed decorative concrete of virginia from a part time hustle into our full-time calling.
In 2010, our good friend Landon—who had been running his own landscaping business—partnered with us. Together, we expanded into polished concrete and commercial coatings, adding even more ways to bring beauty and durability to floors across Virginia.
Today, Decorative Concrete of Virginia is still family-owned and built on the same principles that started it all: hard work, quality craftsmanship, and treating every project like it’s for our own home.
It started with a spark of curiosity… and grew into a legacy of concrete artistry.
