Rough to Radiant – Polished Concrete Floor Transformation
Polished concrete is a high-gloss finish gained by using special floor polishers fitted with diamond abrasive disks (similar to sandpaper) to grind down surfaces to the desired degree of shine and smoothness. Virginia Concrete Polishing enhances the natural beauty of concrete. Through a process of densifying the concrete with impregnative harderners and grinding with diamond tooling we can achieve high shine, attractive, durable finishes to your existing concrete without installing a coating. The resulting surface is very low-maintenance and can be stained to replicate the look of polished stone.

DENSIFIED & BURNISHED CONCRETE
Our densifiers provide a durable, productive working surface that is free of dust and easy to maintain.
The Ashford Formula, Retro-plate and Euclid Diamond Hard are our preferred products, but we can install any densfier to meet artitectural specifications.
CONCRETE GRINDING & PREP
We can grind concrete to remove old coatings, carpet glue or any other substance to get your concrete to a clean usable surface.
GRIND & SEAL
Our epoxy and urethane sealers protect the concrete and provide a gloss or matte finish.

Who We Are
OUR STORY
In 2001, a family vacation changed everything. While away, our dad—then a successful home builder—spotted a crew installing a decorative concrete overlay. Intrigued, he walked over, asked questions, and even jotted down the name from the bag of materials they were using. A few weeks later, we were on a plane to Florida for hands-on training.
What began as a side project soon became a passion. Our eye for quality and craftsmanship, paired with our growing expertise, transformed decorative concrete of virginia from a part time hustle into our full-time calling.
In 2010, our good friend Landon—who had been running his own landscaping business—partnered with us. Together, we expanded into polished concrete and commercial coatings, adding even more ways to bring beauty and durability to floors across Virginia.
Today, Decorative Concrete of Virginia is still family-owned and built on the same principles that started it all: hard work, quality craftsmanship, and treating every project like it’s for our own home.
It started with a spark of curiosity… and grew into a legacy of concrete artistry.
